- Additionally, all applicants must demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and a strong commitment to community service.
- Candidates must also submit an essay on a designated topic and provide two letters of recommendation.

Application Instructions
Applicants must complete the general Ball State University scholarship application, which can be found on the university’s website. In addition, candidates must also submit a separate scholarship application specifically for the Warren E. Schaller Scholarship, which includes an essay and recommendation letters.
