Founded in 1963, the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a leading research institution in the UK. In recognition of its strong ties with India and to promote cross-cultural exchange, UEA offers the UEA India Award, a fully-funded scholarship for Indian students to pursue a postgraduate degree at the university.

Number of Awards

Every year, UEA awards up to five scholarships to Indian students as part of the UEA India Award program.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The UEA India Award provides full tuition fee waiver, a living stipend of £10,000, and return airfare to and from India. Additionally, recipients will have access to academic and career support, as well as opportunities for cultural and social integration.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the UEA India Award must meet the following criteria:

1. Be an Indian citizen.
2. Have been offered a place on a postgraduate course at UEA.
3. Have completed or be in the process of completing a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% overall.
4. Meet the English language requirements of the university.
5. Demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence.
6. Show leadership potential and a desire to contribute to society.

Application Instructions

To apply for the UEA India Award, interested candidates must first apply and receive an offer of admission to a postgraduate course at UEA. Once an offer has been received, applicants can complete the scholarship application form and submit it with the required supporting documents by the specified deadline.

The supporting documents include:
1. A copy of the offer letter from UEA.
2. An academic transcript and degree certificate of undergraduate studies.
3. Two references.
4. A personal statement outlining academic achievements, career goals, and how the scholarship will help in achieving them.

All applications must be submitted online through the UEA India Award website. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
