Scholarship Value/Inclusions
Recipients of the President’s Alumni Scholars Award receive a one-time scholarship of $5,000 for undergraduate students, $7,500 for graduate students, and $10,000 for professional degree students. In addition to the scholarship, recipients are also given priority registration, access to the LSU Center for Academic Success, and various networking opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the President’s Alumni Scholars Award,
- Applicants must be LSU alumni and must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours at LSU or graduated from the university within the past five years.
- They must also have a minimum cumulative GPA
- 3.0 for undergraduate students,
- 3.3 for graduate students,
- 3.5 for professional degree students.

Application Instructions
To apply for the President’s Alumni Scholars Award, eligible candidates must submit a completed application form, a 500-word essay outlining their academic and career goals, and two letters of recommendation. The application form and essay must be submitted through the LSU Scholarship Portal, while the letters of recommendation must be emailed to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
