Brief Description

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships are funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Get-Scholarship. These scholarships are aimed at highly motivated and talented students from around the world to pursue higher education in Scotland’s top universities.

Host Institution(s)

The scholarship can be availed at any of the following institutions: University of Aberdeen, University of Dundee, University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian University, Heriot-Watt University, University of St. Andrews, University of Stirling, University of Strathclyde, University of the West of Scotland, Robert Gordon University, Edinburgh Napier University, and Abertay University.

Level/Field of Study

The scholarships are available for one year of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in any subject offered by the above-mentioned universities.

Number of Awards

A total of 50 scholarships are available for the 2021-2022 academic sessions.

Target Group

International students from Canada, China, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the United States are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The scholarship covers the full tuition fees for one year of study, a financial contribution towards living costs, and a one-off arrival allowance of £850. It also includes a one-year free pass for public transport in Scotland.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships,

• Applicants must have an unconditional or conditional offer from one of the participating universities, be a citizen of Canada, China, India, Japan, Pakistan, or the United States.
• Meet the language requirements of the university they are applying to.
