Brief Description

The Slovak Academic Information Agency (SAIA) offers an exciting opportunity for international students to study and conduct research in North Macedonia. This scholarship program provides financial support for university students and PhD students from all over the world to enhance their knowledge and exchange ideas in a new cultural environment.

The SAIA scholarship program is hosted by the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the highest scientific institution in North Macedonia.

The scholarship is open for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students in all fields of study.

Number of Awards

Each year, the SAIA scholarship program awards up to 10 scholarships to students from countries around the world.

The scholarship is open to international students from all countries, including non-EU countries, who wish to study or conduct research in North Macedonia.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The scholarship covers all costs related to studying or conducting research in North Macedonia, including tuition fees, travel expenses, health insurance, and a monthly stipend of 550 euros. Additionally, the recipients will have access to SAIA’s support services, including accommodation and cultural activities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Hold a valid recommendation from their home university or institution
• Have completed at least one year of university studies
• Have a good knowledge of English or Macedonian language
• Not have previously received a scholarship from the SAIA
