New Inbound International Students Scholarship Pilot Plan

Brief Description

National Chengchi University (NCCU), a leading university in Taiwan, has recently launched a new scholarship program for international students called the Inbound International Students Scholarship Pilot Plan. This initiative aims to attract talented individuals from around the world to study at NCCU and enhance the university’s global competitiveness.

Number of Awards

The Inbound International Students Scholarship Pilot Plan will offer 50 scholarships in total. Out of these, 30 will be reserved for graduate students, and the remaining 20 will be for undergraduate students.

Target Group

The scholarship is open to international students from all over the world who wish to pursue their higher education at NCCU. Both self-funded and government-funded students are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the program, along with a monthly living allowance of NT$12,000 for graduate students and NT$9,000 for undergraduate students. Additionally, recipients will also receive a one-time research grant of NT$10,000 and a round-trip flight ticket to Taiwan.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Inbound International Students Scholarship Pilot Plan, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a foreign national with no Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality.
2. Must have a strong academic record and meet the admission requirements for the program of their choice.
3. Must not be currently enrolled at NCCU.
4. Must demonstrate a genuine interest in studying at NCCU and contributing to the university’s international community.

Application Instructions

Interested applicants must first apply to their preferred program at NCCU and receive a Letter of Admission. Once admitted, they can then apply for the scholarship program through the university’s online portal. Along with the application form, applicants must submit their academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, two letters of recommendation, and other supporting documents.
