The National Entrance Scholarship Program by StFX is a merit-based scholarship program that aims to attract and support high-achieving students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, as well as leadership potential and a commitment to community service.

The National Entrance Scholarship Program is open to students pursuing any undergraduate degree program at StFX. Whether you are interested in pursuing a degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, Education, or Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Number of Awards
Each year, StFX awards over 30 National Entrance Scholarships to incoming students. These scholarships are distributed based on academic merit, with awards ranging from $5,000 to $20,000.
Target Group
This scholarship is open to both domestic and international students who have been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at StFX. It is targeted towards high-achieving students who stand out for their academic excellence, leadership potential, and community involvement.
Scholarship Value/Inclusions
The National Entrance Scholarships, ranging from $5,000 to $20,000, are renewable for up to 4 years, as long as the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.5. In addition to the monetary value, this scholarship also provides students with opportunities for leadership development and mentorship.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the National Entrance Scholarship,
- Students must have a minimum average of 85% or higher in their final year of high school (or equivalent).
- In addition, students must demonstrate a commitment to community service and leadership.
- International students must also provide proof of English language proficiency.

Application Instructions
All students who apply for admission to StFX by the scholarship deadline (February 15 for fall admission and November 1 for winter admission) will automatically be considered for the National Entrance Scholarship. No separate application is required.
