The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides a monthly stipend of NT$30,000 (approximately US$1,000) for undergraduate students and NT$40,000 (approximately US$1,300) for graduate students. It also includes a one-way air ticket to Taiwan and offers a one-year language course at NTU’s Chinese Language Center.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship,
- Applicants must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries.
- Must not hold Taiwanese citizenship.
- Must have a high school diploma for undergraduate programs or a bachelor’s degree for graduate programs.
- Must meet the admission requirements of their chosen program at NTU.

Application Instructions
Applications for the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship are open from January to March each year, and successful applicants will be notified by June/July. Applicants must first apply for admission to NTU and then submit the scholarship application form with the required documents to NTU’s international admissions office.
