Number of Awards
The scholarship program awards a total of five scholarships each year.
Target Group
This scholarship is open to international students from Arab countries that have diplomatic relations with the Netherlands, with a special focus on students from the Middle East and North Africa region.
Scholarship Value/Inclusions
The Mahmoud S. Rabbani Scholarship covers the full tuition fee, monthly allowance for living expenses, and health insurance. It also includes a budget for visa and residence permit costs, expenses for travels from and to The Netherlands, and a contribution to research costs.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a student from an Arab country with diplomatic relations with the Netherlands
- Have an excellent academic record
- Have been admitted to one of the eligible Master’s programs at UT
- Have a strong motivation to contribute to the development of their home country
- Must not have studied or worked in the Netherlands before

Application Instructions
The application process for the Mahmoud S. Rabbani Scholarship is as follows:
