Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of a developing country in Asia, Africa, Latin America, or Eastern Europe
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree for Master’s programs or a Master’s degree for Ph.D. programs in a related field
  • Have strong academic qualifications and a strong commitment to contribute to the development of their home country
  • Be fluent in English
  • Not be currently enrolled in another scholarship program

Application Instructions

Interested applicants must first apply to TUAF for admission to the desired program and receive an admission letter to be eligible. The admission application deadline for international students is usually in May for the fall semester and in October for the spring semester. Once admitted, students can then apply for the In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme at TUAF by DAAD through the university’s website. The application period is usually from June to July.
