The Honors College Scholar Award is open to incoming freshman students who have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 and a minimum ACT score of 28 (or SAT equivalent).

Selected Honors College Scholars are offered a comprehensive financial aid package, covering full tuition fees, room and board, and other academic expenses. In addition, scholars are offered a unique and challenging academic experience through the university’s Honors College program, which includes specialized coursework, research opportunities, and mentoring from top faculty members.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Honors College Scholar Award,

  • Students must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 and a minimum ACT score of 28 (or SAT equivalent).
  • They must also be admitted to Ball State University and submit a complete application for the scholarship program.

Application Instructions

Interested students should first apply for admission to Ball State University. Once admitted, they can apply for the Honors College Scholar Award by submitting a completed application form, official high school transcripts, and ACT/SAT scores. The application deadline for the scholarship program is November 1st, for the following academic year.
