Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Hofstra University Presidential Scholarship,

  • Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 and a minimum SAT score of 1350 or ACT score of 31.
  • They must also demonstrate a strong record of leadership and community service.
  • Approximately 10% of incoming students at Hofstra University receive this prestigious scholarship.

Application Instructions

Interested applicants must submit a complete application for admission to Hofstra University by December 15 of the year prior to their intended enrollment. The application process also includes submitting a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and an interview with the Scholarship Committee. Finalists are notified by mid-March and are required to attend an on-campus interview in April.
