Brief Description

Created in honor of the late John Hobin, the Hobin Architecture Scholarship by Algonquin College aims to support passionate and talented individuals pursuing a career in architecture. Level/Field of Study

The scholarship is open to students pursuing a post-secondary education in the field of architecture. This includes both undergraduate and graduate programs, such as the Bachelor of Interior Design, Bachelor of Interior Design + Masters of Architecture, and the Masters of Architecture programs offered at Algonquin College.

Number of Awards

The scholarship is awarded annually to one outstanding student. However, in certain years, multiple scholarships may be awarded based on the eligibility of applicants and funds available.

Target Group

The Hobin Architecture Scholarship is open to all Canadian citizens and permanent residents currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an architecture program at Algonquin College. International students are not eligible to apply.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The scholarship is valued at $5,000 and covers the tuition fee for one year of study at Algonquin College. The recipient will also have the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship at the award-winning architectural firm, Hobin Architecture Inc.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Hobin Architecture Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
2. Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an architecture program at Algonquin College.
3. Demonstrate a strong academic record and have a passion for architecture.
4. Submit a portfolio showcasing their design skills and creativity.
5. Have not received any other major scholarships.

Application Instructions
