The award is made possible through Algonquin College’s partnership with Gowling (WLG) Canada LLP, a leading international law firm.

Level/Field of Study

The Gowling (WLG) Canada LLP Award of Achievement is available to students in any field of study at Algonquin College, at both the diploma and degree levels.

Number of Awards

Every academic year, Algonquin College awards three students with the Gowling (WLG) Canada LLP Award of Achievement.

Target Group

The award is open to all students who are currently enrolled in their final year of study at Algonquin College. Students who have completed their studies in the previous academic year may also be eligible.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

Each recipient of the Gowling (WLG) Canada LLP Award of Achievement will receive a certificate of recognition and a monetary award of $2,500. This award not only recognizes academic excellence but also provides financial support to assist in achieving the recipient’s future goals.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the award,

• Students must have a minimum cumulative average of 75%.
• Demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities or community service.
• Applicants must also submit a statement of intent highlighting their achievements and future goals.

Application Instructions

Applications for the Gowling (WLG) Canada LLP Award of Achievement are open in the winter semester each year. Students can apply online through the Algonquin College website, or by downloading the application form and submitting it to the Financial Aid office.
