Global Korea Scholarship Invitation Program for International Students
Brief Description
The GKSIP, established in 2010, is a scholarship program led by the South Korean National Institute for International Education (NIIED), under the Ministry of Education. Its aim is to promote international exchange and cooperation in education, as well as to attract talented young individuals from around the world to study in South Korea.
Host Institution(s)
The GKSIP scholarship is offered by one of the 69 participating universities in South Korea, including prestigious institutions such as Seoul National University, KAIST, and Yonsei University. Students will have the opportunity to study at the top-ranked universities in South Korea and gain access to modern facilities, innovative curriculum, and renowned faculty.

Eligibility Criteria

- Be under 40 years of age as of September 1st of the year of application
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (for master’s program) or a master’s degree (for doctoral program) as of September 1st of the year of application
- Possess a GPA of at least 80% on a 100-point scale, or an equivalent level of academic achievement
- Be in good health, both physically and mentally, to successfully complete the program
- Have no criminal record
- Not have previously received the Korean government scholarship
