Brief Description

The Oxford-Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Graduate Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship program established in 2015 by the University of Oxford and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. This scholarship aims to promote academic excellence, cultural understanding, and mutual cooperation between the Arab world and the UK. It provides full financial support to exceptional students from the Arab world who wish to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Oxford.

Each year, the scholarship provides up to five fully-funded awards to outstanding graduate students from the Arab world.

Target Group

The scholarship targets students from Arab countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. Applicants must be citizens of these countries or have been a resident in one of these countries for at least the past two years.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The scholarship award covers all tuition fees, college fees, living expenses, and a return ticket from the scholar’s home country to the UK. In addition, scholars also receive a generous grant for travel and research expenses.

Application Instructions

The application process for the scholarship is highly competitive and consists of a two-stage process.
