Brief Description

The PIF Program, or the “Presidential International Fellowship” program, is a competitive scholarship offered by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). It aims to attract top international students for pursuing their undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in various fields of study.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The PIF Program is a fully-funded scholarship and covers tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and provides a living allowance of 3000 RMB per month for bachelor’s students, 3500 RMB per month for master’s students, and 4000 RMB per month for doctoral students. Additionally, scholarship recipients will also receive comprehensive medical insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the PIF Program,

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and under the age of 35 for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and under the age of 40 for doctoral degree programs.
  • They must have a strong academic background and meet the specific requirements for their chosen program of study.

Application Instructions

Applicants can apply for the PIF Program through the UESTC online application system. The application period is usually from December to March. The required documents include a valid passport, academic transcripts and certificates, language proficiency scores (Chinese or English), a study plan, and two letters of recommendation.
