The Life Science Scholars program is open to undergraduate students who are majoring in any of the life science disciplines offered at UCLA. This includes Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Neuroscience, and more. The scholarship covers four years of undergraduate study.
Number of Awards
Every year, UCLA awards approximately 40 students with the Life Science Scholars scholarship. Since its inception, the program has recognized and supported over 500 students in their academic pursuits.

Application Instructions
Students can apply for the Life Science Scholars program by submitting the general UCLA admission application. They must also complete the Life Science Scholars supplemental application, which includes essays and letters of recommendation. Finalists will then be invited for an interview. The application opens in October and closes in December, so early application is encouraged.
