Oxford-Thatcher Graduate Scholarships

Brief Description

The Oxford-Thatcher Graduate Scholarships were established in honor of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to support exceptional students pursuing graduate studies at the University of Oxford.

The scholarship is hosted by the University of Oxford, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, ranked consistently in the top 5 by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The scholarship is available for postgraduate studies in any field offered at the University of Oxford, such as science, humanities, social sciences, and more.

Number of Awards

Each year, a total of 10 scholarships are awarded, divided equally among the four divisions of the University – Humanities, Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences.

Target Group

The scholarship is open to international students from any country except the United Kingdom, European Union, and European Economic Area. It is also open to students from the British Overseas Territories, British Crown Dependencies, or British Overseas Territories.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

Recipients of the Oxford-Thatcher Graduate Scholarship will receive full tuition fees, a maintenance stipend, and also a partial grant towards travel expenses for conferences or research.

To be considered for the scholarship,

• Applicants must be applying for a full-time postgraduate course at the University of Oxford and demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential.
• They must also have a strong connection to the values and work of Margaret Thatcher.
