Each year, Hofstra University awards up to 20 Trustee Scholarships to incoming students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements, leadership skills, and community involvement.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

Winners of the Trustee Scholarship receive a full-tuition award, covering the cost of tuition, room, and board for four years of undergraduate study at Hofstra University. In addition, scholars will also receive a $2,000 stipend per year for research, internship, or study abroad opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Trustee Scholars Program,

  • Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1420 or ACT score of 30 and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.9 on a 4.0 scale.
  • They must also demonstrate strong leadership skills, community involvement, and a commitment to academic excellence.

Application Instructions

To apply for the Trustee Scholars Program, students must submit a completed application for admission to Hofstra University, including transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, letters of recommendation, and an essay that showcases their leadership accomplishments and goals. Finalists will be invited to participate in an interview process with the scholarship committee.
