Governor General’s Medal

To be eligible for the Governor General’s Medal,

• Student must have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement during their time at Algonquin College.
• They must also have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.7.

Application Instructions

Students cannot apply directly for the Governor General’s Medal. Instead, they are nominated by their program faculty or recommended by their peers. Nominations are then reviewed by a selection committee comprised of faculty and staff. The chosen recipient is announced at the college’s spring convocation ceremony.
