Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum ACT score of 28 or SAT score of 1310, and must be in the top 20% of their high school class.
- Along with academic excellence, the scholarship committee also considers students’ leadership skills, involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and potential for success in their chosen field of study.

Application Instructions
To apply for the Freshman Achievement Scholarship, students must first complete the online application for admission at Ball State University by November 1st. They must then submit a separate scholarship application, which includes a personal statement, a resume of activities and involvement, and two letters of recommendation. Finalists will be invited for an interview, and the recipients will be notified by mid-April.
