Every year, 50 scholarships are awarded to international students for their study stay in the Czech Republic through this program.

The scholarship is open to students from 33 eligible countries, including all EU countries, EEA countries, and some countries outside of Europe such as Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, and the USA.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The Study Stay For University Students Scholarship covers a range of expenses including monthly stipend, accommodation, and insurance. The exact value varies depending on the level of study, ranging from €260 to €780 per month. In addition, students receive a one-time travel grant of €275. The scholarship also includes assistance from a mentor, who helps with academic and cultural integration during the study stay.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship,

  • Applicants must be citizens of one of the eligible countries mentioned above.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university in their home country.
  • They must also have completed at least two semesters of studies before their study stay in the Czech Republic.
  • Additionally, applicants must have sufficient knowledge of English or Czech to be able to study in their chosen field.

Application Instructions

Applications for the scholarship can be submitted online through the SAIA website during the application period, which usually runs from February to the end of April.
