Number of Awards

It also provides a living allowance of AUD $30,000 per year, along with a return economy class airfare from Mexico to Brisbane, Australia. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CONACYT Mexican Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a Mexican citizen with a valid Mexican passport.
2. Have an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a scale of 4.0. If the degree is not from a Mexican institution, it must be recognized by the Mexican Ministry of Education.
3. Meet the specific admission requirements of the chosen program at UQ.
4. Have a good command of English, with a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS or equivalent.
5. Have at least two years of work experience in their field of study.
6. Be committed to returning to Mexico upon completion of their studies.

Application Instructions

Applications for the CONACYT Mexican Scholarship Program are open from April to June every year. Interested applicants must first apply for admission to their chosen program at UQ. Once they have received an offer from UQ, they can then apply for the scholarship on the CONACYT website. Applicants are required to provide academic transcripts, a CV, a research proposal, and two letters of recommendation. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, and successful candidates will be notified in September.
