The Center for Women in Technology Scholars Program at UMBC is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship program that provides academic, professional, and leadership development opportunities to women pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. As one of the first programs of its kind in the country, CWIT has been at the forefront of promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech industry for over 25 years.

Number of Awards
Every year, the CWIT program selects 20-25 outstanding female students as new Scholars. Currently, there are over 100 CWIT Scholars at UMBC.
