Brief Description

The University of Twente Scholarships (UTS) by University of Twente (UT) provides international students with the opportunity to pursue a fully-funded master’s degree in the Netherlands. The University of Twente (UT) is a leading Dutch research university located in the city of Enschede. Founded in 1961, it offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in technology, social sciences, and management. Its focus on societal impact and entrepreneurship has earned it a reputation as the most entrepreneurial university in the Netherlands.

Level/Field of Study

The UTS scholarships are available for master’s degree programs offered at the University of Twente. These include Engineering, Science and Technology, Business Administration, and Public Administration.

Number of Awards

The University of Twente awards approximately 50 UTS scholarships each year to outstanding international students.

Target Group

The UTS program is open to international students from any country (except Dutch) who have a strong academic record and meet the eligibility criteria.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

The UTS covers the full tuition fees for the selected master’s program and provides students with an allowance of €11,000 for living expenses. In addition, recipients of the UTS will be given an opportunity to participate in the University of Twente’s extensive extracurricular and career development activities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UTS,

• Applicants must have been admitted to one of the master’s programs at the University of Twente, meet the specific admission requirements, and have a previous degree equivalent to a Dutch Bachelor’s degree.
• They must also demonstrate excellent academic performance and prove their ability to contribute to the University of Twente’s society and community.

Application Instructions

To apply for the UTS program, students must first apply for admission to their chosen master’s program at the University of Twente before 1 February 2021. Once accepted, they can apply for the scholarship by submitting an online application form and all required documents before 1 April 2021. The University of Twente will review the applications and announce the final decision by mid-June.
